Install Speed Humps Hampton Dr., Elwood Rd., and Choctaw Dr.:

Project notification letter is set to be sent out to residents by the end of next week. Our office should receive a draft of this letter to review by the end of this week. If any objections are received from residents, DOT will tweak their design accordingly and conduct additional outreach as needed. The construction for all 3 projects will start this fall.

Paint High Visibility Crosswalks Around Schools

The proposed crosswalk spans across Redmond at Moss Oak. The crosswalk will be accompanied by civil improvements to include ADA pedestrian ramps, concrete curb extensions, pedestrian refuge island, flashing beacons, striping and signage

The estimated cost for the design and construction of this project is approximately $125k.

In design. Expected construction in late summer 2024.

Additional Traffic Calming Modifications On Via Valiente

Remaining Project Tasks:

High visibility crosswalks- Via Valiente & Almaden Expressway - Project is on hold because it is still on waiting list for coordination with the County (no timeline for this item) 

Bott Dotts were installed

Camden / Graystone (Los Alametos Creek Trail)

Enhanced crosswalk with flashing beacons and curb extensions at trail crossing on Graystone, north of the intersection. Modify free-right turn lane at the intersection to slow right turn drivers 

Design completed. Was delayed due to re-design work. Preparing bid package for construction. Expected construction in spring 2024.

Camden / Creekview

One Radar sign placed in westbound direction- speed radar sign has been installed and is operating .

Sideshow Deterrents

Design concept for ST/Baily has been developed and DOT is planning to implement in spring 2024.

Santa Teresa / 87 (onramps and offramps) is within State ROW. However, DOT did reach out to CalTrans with their recommendations and they are waiting to hear back.

We have funding for a third location.  Need further community input for location.

Office
