The Almaden Senior Association conducts its business at the City-operated Almaden Community Center and supports the City of San Jose Senior Program. Association volunteers assist City staff with program planning, advise staff on events and purchases, organize and conduct a wide variety of social events throughout the year, and maintain communication between senior membership and City staff.
We are the San Jose Almaden Super Lions Club, founded in 1956. Our club is a member of the International Association of Lions Clubs, the largest service club organization in the world with more than 1.4 million men and women serving their communities around the globe. We provide services for those in need — especially children and the visually impaired.
The AVCA provides information of interest especially for the residents of Almaden Valley. Set aside the second Monday evening of each month to attend the AVCA meetings where great speakers help us improve the quality of living in Almaden Valley.
The Almaden Valley Women's Club was founded in 1965. The purpose of our non-profit organization is to stimulate, by the active participation of each member, interest in the social, civic, and cultural improvement of our community. We are committed to serving the needs of the Almaden Valley community and those of greater San Jose through funds raised at our community fundraising events.
The District 10 Leadership Coalition fosters an awareness of issues that facilitates successful advocacy for safe and secure neighborhoods, improved urban services, and a desirable quality of life for current and future San Jose.
The Friends of Guadalupe Oak Grove Park formed as an alliance of neighbors and park patrons concerned about the long-term stewardship of a uniquely-natural park in San Jose. They have been putting together dedicated volunteer efforts for the past few years, clearing and trimming and cleaning up trails and making certain that Guadalupe Oak Grove Park remains the community treasure that it is intended to be.
Since 1998, our Neighborhood Association has been providing services to all homeowners to maintain and enhance the character of our neighborhood. Services include common area landscape maintenance, communications, social activities, City and County interface and services, and large scale improvement projects.
We are an active and vibrant club in the community. Our club participates in a variety of projects throughout the year that involve fundraising, community service, and assisting children locally and worldwide. At our meetings, we host speakers from the local area and beyond to share information about organizations, events, and other interesting topics. Newcomers and visitors are welcome to join us at our meetings. We'd love to have you!
The Martin-Fontana Parks Association has been established to raise and provide funds to preserve and enhance the beauty of TJ Martin and Jeffrey Fontana parks with the City of San Jose. These parks, with beautiful native Oak trees, are located in Almaden Valley of San Jose, California.
The Montevideo neighborhood was developed in 1968 and includes 400 homes located at the corner of Coleman and Camden. We invite any and all neighbors to join us for this Montevideo Improvement Association board meeting to share insights and ideas.
The Santa Teresa Foothills Neighborhood Association was formed in 2000 to address community issues in the south San Jose area, prioritizing the preservation of the Santa Teresa Foothills,creation of a public trail along the Coyote-Alamitos Canal between Santa Teresa County Park and Lake Almaden Park. public education and awareness, safe neighborhoods, and hillside development enforcement.
VEP is an all-volunteer organization of your neighbors working to improve our neighborhoods, making our neighbor's views and needs known to government at all levels. VEP is one of the largest, most successful, and most active enduring grass roots volunteer organizations in Santa Clara County.
